Designed by a Greek architect who trained in Florence and built for his own family in 2006, this house carries the kind of detail that only comes from building for yourself. Custom joinery, oversized windows, an unusually deep pool, nothing here is off-the-shelf, even if it reads as effortlessly simple.

The house sits first-row to the sea, fifty metres from a small pristine beach used only by the immediate neighbourhood. It sleeps up to ten. The architect's children grew up jumping from the balcony into the pool. That spirit, unhurried, generous, quietly considered, is still very much in the walls.

321 m² across three floors, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Large double-glazed windows and doors throughout, underfloor heating in several rooms, and a late 19th century antique Turkish fireplace in the living room. Every room has built-in wooden cabinetry. Floors are marble, stone or wood. The kitchen has a pantry. The living room opens fully to the outside through oversized sliding doors, erasing the line between in and out. Downstairs, a large playroom and a proper laundry room. The furniture in the living and dining areas is designed to be rearranged by season, the house shifts with you.
